This section will develop over time but Seattle has so many different cultural activities as well as those annual events that are synonymous with Seattle that we thought we'd provide this for our visitors. Much of this information is available elsewhere on other lists, however, we've taken great care to get the information right where it was sometimes incorrect and in many cases provide additional resources as they became available.

The best way to get there is to take one of the Metro shuttle buses offered at the Boeing OxBow lot or the Eastgate Park 'n Ride. The shuttle runs every 10 minutes and drops you off at the entrance to Genesee Park. It's a pretty good deal for $3 round-trip.
There's something for everyone after entering the enclosed area at the south side of Genesee Park. The "Kids Zone" provides all day entertainment on fun inflatable rides for a $12 wristband. Kids will have a blast on the bounce house, the 40-foot Tide Slide, and they can hang out at the Capri Sun AOX Skate Park featuring DJ Emcee Energy.

July 4, 2007 - Various locations throughout the Puget Sound area
Dispite the inherent dangers, fireworks displays are a still big part of Independance Day celebrations. So, we've brought you this handy guide to assist you in selecting your ideal venue.
Strategic planning goes into which fireworks display to watch as two are offered in Seattle and several more are scattered throughout the Puget Sound area. Once you've made your choice, you can usually plan the day’s activity around the wealth of festivities that are offered at the venue. There's always vendors, food, activities for kids and perhaps a parade. Keep in mind parking issues and bring extra clothing, folding chairs, towels, lotion, etc. to keep comfortable until show time. Most all the fireworks displays will begin at 10pm.
Myrtle Edwards Park, near Pier 70 is home to Seattle's Fourth of Jul-Ivar's celebration. Live music & entertainment begins at 12:30 and ends with a great Fireworks Display at 10 PM. This 43rd annual event has been attended by 300,000 people in the past.
